Personal Information
Name: Boryana Boteva
School: SU "Sveti Sedmochislenitsi"
Position: Head teacher, English teacher, coordinator of international school partnerships
Students` age: 6/7-10/11 years
(1st-4th grade)
Teaching experience: 24 years
Interests and hobbies: visiting new places, sightseeing, photography, arts, reading books, animals (most of all dogs), growing flowers, life-long learning and professional development.
My Teaching Philosophy
I`d like to offer my students inspirational education where each pupil strives to achieve his/her personal best and is willing to serve the local community as an high-educated, well-informed, open-minded and active citizen.
I`d like to provide and maintain a safe, respectful and positive student-centered learning environment where the personal abilities, qualities, talents and diversity are valued and where the students are prepared with the skills to succeed in 21st century.
I do believe that the best teachers are those who learn through all life and always strive to improve their professional competences. I also believe in the power of the sharing, empathy and team work. I feel happy and satisfied when I see my students learning from one another and sharing their thoughts and ideas.
I incorporate ICT in my classroom in meaningful and interactive ways.
I accepted some challenges when I chose to become a teacher: to be dedicated to learning, to my own discipline, to my students, to building together better future for us. As a teacher, I aim to create an atmosphere that encourages students` curiosity and creativity.
My Vision Statement
I see my classroom as a place where students feel important, respected, cared for and believed in. I am a teacher (and friend) who makes it possible for students to develop and reach their full potential, ask questions, learn from their mistakes, create and try their best. Together, we are happy to celebrate each other’s success and inspire each other to be those who can make the world a better place.
